Note: This feature is only available on the Smart LED with Security Camera G2 (Snap 2). The Smart LED with Security Camera (Snap) does not have the ability to have the light come on when motion is detected.
To set the light of the Smart LED with Security Camera G2 to turn on when motion is detected, open the Snap app and press the hexagon icon located at the top right of the display screen of your Snap.
This will take you to the settings page for that individual Snap. From here, scroll down until you see the option “Lighting Automation”.
Tap on “Lighting Automation”. This will take you to the “Light Automation” page. Tap on the slider bar next to the option “Turn on light when motion is detected”.
After the button is tapped, it will turn green to indicate that setting is active. Keep in mind, this setting will allow the light to turn on when motion is detected in a low light environment.
You can also adjust how long the bulb will stay on when motion is detected. By pressing the bar named “Auto-Off Timer”, you can choose to have the light of the Snap 2 stay on for 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes.
You can also use the “Test Mode” to test the motion sensor of the Snap at the desired location. This way, if you need to make any adjustments, you can.
Tap on “Test Mode”, read the instructions on that screen and press “Start” when you are ready to test the motion sensor of the Snap.
We recommend testing the motion sensor out at the location your Snap will be used in to ensure everything is optimal.
