Installing a Smart LED with Security Camera G2 (Snap 2)

First, open the Sengled Snap app (orange icon) and login with your previously created login credentials.

Then, press “Add Device”. From here, you will be on the “Let’s Get Started” page. Since the Smart LED with Security Camera G2 has an Ethernet port, press “Yes” on this page.

From here, power the camera on near your router. Connect the Ethernet cord from your router to your camera. Make sure your phone is connected to the same 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz WiFi that your phone is on.

We recommend connecting your camera to your router’s 2.4 GHz since the 2.4 GHz band has a better range than the 5.0 GHz.

Press “Next” to proceed.

Look at the indicator light on the Snap, if it is red, press “Red” to proceed. If not, hold the "Reset" button near the Ethernet port on your Snap for about eight seconds to make the LED on the bulb flash a few times. This will turn the light red.

The pairing will be in process and you will see the following screens briefly.

Now you will be on the “Please selected a router…” page.

Select the WiFi that is broadcasted from your router. In this example, we tapped on the “Support_2.4G” since that is the WiFi to which our phone is connected.

A pop-up will prompt us to enter the password for the chosen WiFi.

After entering the password and checking to make sure the password is correct by press the eye icon, press "Okay".

From there, the camera will connect to your router.

You will be redirected to the “Your Snap is Waking up” screen. Please allow a few minutes for your Snap to communicate with your router and connect to the internet.

Once the camera is connected, you will be on a page that says “Congrats! You’re all set.”

From this page, you can rename your camera, if you like by tapping on its default name. In the provided example, we chose to keep the default name.

Once the Snap is named to your liking, press “Done”.

After that is done, the Snap is ready to be installed in the desired location. Power the Snap off, remove the Ethernet cable and install the Snap in the desired location. Once the Snap is tightened into the fixture, rotate the Snap counter-clockwise until the camera is at the bottom (in the 6 o’clock position).

Please keep in mind the Smart LED with Security Camera is a WiFi camera and is completely depended on the WiFi at the location the camera is being used in.

This means if the camera is being used 20 feet away from your router, the WiFi at the location the camera is being used would need to be 2Mbps of download and 2Mbps of upload; the signal strength would have to be -65dBm or lower.

Once the Snap is in the desired fixture, press “Next”.

After the Snap is situated in the desired location to your liking, power the Snap on. Make sure the indicator light is blue. If the indicator light is blue, press “Done”.

If the indicator light is red, press “follow these steps”.

After pressing “Done”, you will be redirected to the “My Snap” screen. By tapping the play icon, you can go to the “Live” screen for your Snap.
