There are multiple ways to move a bulb into a different room. None of the presented methods are superior to the others as they are all correct.
If you have assigned a bulb to the wrong room, do not delete it. Any of the following methods will allow you to move it to a different room.
Method 1:
Note: This method demonstrates how to move a bulb into an existing room. You can, on the “Room Management” page, select an existing room.
Method 3 demonstrates how to move a bulb into a newly created room.
First, open the Sengled Home app. Then, press the circle with three dots in it at the top-right of the screen. Then, press “Room Management”.
If the room you want to move the bulb to is not below, press the three dots in a circle located at the top-right corner and then press “Add Room”. This will take you to the “Add Room” page.
If the room you want to move the bulb to is listed below, tap on said room.
In this example, we pressed the button in the top-right corner; then we pressed “Add Room”.
Now, ensure you select the room you wish to move bulbs into.
In the provided example, we tapped on “Living Room” has been selected.
After picking the room you wish to move a bulb or multiple bulbs into, press “Manage Devices”.
This will take you to a page where you will see the selected room’s name at the top and all your connected devices.
In the provided example, “Bedroom Bulb 4” is tapped because that is a device that we wish to move into the “Living Room” within the Sengled Home app.
After tapping on it, a warning will pop-up and ask if you are sure you want to move the bulb. If you are sure, press “OK”.
After that, we can see the checkmark next to “Bedroom Bulb 4” is now red.
To move additional bulbs, to the “Living Room”, tap on the bulb and press “OK” on the pop-up like before.
To save the changes and have the bulbs moved into the new room, press “Save” in the top-right corner.
Once the changes are saved, you will see the new room with the assigned bulbs.
The names of the bulbs will still be the same from before. For more information on how to change the names of the bulbs, please see our guide on how to rename bulbs.

Method 2:
Select the room the bulb you wish to remove is in. Then, tap the individual bulb you wish to remove. In this example, we will move “Bedroom Bulb 3” to a different room.
From here, tap the settings button located at the top right of the screen. This will take you to the “Settings” screen of that bulb. This screen has quite a bit of pertinent information.
Tap the top bar named “Home” to change the room to which the bulb is assigned.
If you are trying to assign the bulb to a room that has already been created, select the room from the list. Then, press the back arrow to save.
Adding a Bulb to a New Room
If you want to assign the bulb to a room that has not been created yet, press the “+” sign in the top right corner.
This will take you to “Add Room” screen. From here, either tap on the room you with to assign the bulb to or create a new room.
In the provided example, we scrolled down to add the bulb to the “Garage” room by tapping “Garage”.
Then press “Manage Devices”.
This will take you to a screen that has the name of the room at the top. From here, you would tap on the bulb(s) you wish to assign to the room. In this case, the top of the screen says “Garage”.
Since we only wish to move the bulb named “Bedroom Bulb 3” we would tap on it.
This will cause a pop-up that will ask if you are sure about moving the bulb to the new room. Press “OK” to move the bulb.
As you can see from the screen below, the “Bedroom Bulb 3” now has a checkmark next to it. Once you have selected all the bulbs you wish to move to the new room, press “Save” at the top right corner.
After pressing “Save”, you will be redirected to a screen that reads “Home” at the top.
This is the screen where you can assign the bulb to the desired room. As demonstrated by the screenshot, the bulb is now in the “Garage” room within the Sengled Home app. Press the back arrow in the top right corner to save the changes.
